Direct support professionals(DSPs) are driven individuals who enjoy enhancing the lives of others.  As a DSP you’ll aid in
cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and other daily living activities. Plus you’ll have opportunities to advance!

Being honest and practicing good morals represents the bread and butter of a DSP.  Without these qualities, a DSP cannot function with the client’s trust or as a mandatory reporter.  A good DSP acts with integrity.

Our residents desire an independent life, much like most anyone.  Encouraging and promoting our residents with their independence, along with showing compassion and practicing integrity is how we put our clients first.

DSP Requirements

    • 18+ years old
    • Pass a background check
    • Able to lift/push/pull 15+ pounds occasionally
    • Able to speak English
    • Able to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend at the waist, twist upper torso, or crawl
    • Basic computer/typing skills
    • Has a big heart

DSP Job Duties

    • Participate in and teach their clients how to run a typical household
    • Maintain awareness of their clients’ location at all times
    • Engage in pro-social behavior
    • Report abuse of clients
    • Assist in administration of medication
    • Daily reporting of client activities
